Windows 7 pseudo-Family Pack Promo Ends
Isn’t this another Microsoft FAIL?
The lack of traction for this (very obvious) no-brainer to the executives of Microsoft is beyond astonishing; it is downright alarming!
For goodness sakes!
First, there was the mess that was the Windows Vista Family Pack.
Don’t you remember?
You know…the one where you had to purchase a copy of Windows Vista
Rip-Off Edition
Ultimate Edition, and then get the right to purchase a couple of copies of Windows Vista Home Basic. Or was it Home Premium?
I forget, for it was a stupid idea, anyway you sliced and diced it.
You would think that the denizens of 1, Microsoft Way, in Redmond, USA, would have listened to my exhortations here (#14) and here (#9) for Microsoft – the company - to create a true Family Pack.
In the Windows 7 era, a Family Pack was introduced, and today, there are reports that that SKU has gone bye-bye.
For which I ask, “Who is minding the store up there?”
Who at Microsoft does not see the necessity for a Family Pack?
Using my siblings, and immediate family as examples, everyone has multiple systems, with the least number being three.
Are they expected to see the value in a product arrogantly priced exorbitantly?
Someone (with clout) in Redmond needs to take a reality pill, and do the right thing!
