Do numbskulls sometimes run Microsoft?
Last week, I advised a friend to switch to Microsoft Online Services from Office Live, due to my concerns about data security and retention.
She agreed.
However, this tech-savvy woman ran into issues with migrating her current Hotmail-based emails to Exchange online.
Unable to reach me over the weekend, she contacted Microsoft Online Services for assistance.
Her question:
Subject : Lack of a clear path from OfficeLive mail to Exchange Online
QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS
Message: I have searched all available documents, however I can’t find any for a migration of emails from OfficeLive email accounts (Hotmail) to Exchange Online.
If there such a document?
If there is not, isn't that a glaring oversight?
Please help.
Their response is below.

Thank you,
Are you kidding?
These are the imbeciles Microsoft entrusts with supporting what must be for several people and companies, a mission-critical service?
Just earlier today, my buddy, Carlos Enchenique, Editor-in-Chief and founder of PlanetX64.com/PlanetAMD64.com, introduced me to the concept of SEP fields. SEP meaning Someone Else’s Problem.
The acronym was funny then. Now that I see it in action, not so funny.
What would you call nonsense like this?
At the very least, you would expect the drone to research the issue, and present her with a solution. Not making a lateral pass out of his area.
Thankfully, the yum-yum provided the name of his direct-report, Anil Kumar, whose ear, I am about to light up!
Incredible!
