One of the things with recommending servers, especially servers that you know you would support, is that you have to be right.
A few years ago, we made a decision to go with HP ProLiant servers as the recommended brand of servers to all our clients.
That decision was not made lightly. It came by as a result of several months of tests with ProLiants of both the hardware, customer service, and the all-important technical support.
HP came ahead in that bakeoff.
We also made the decision to replace all our client premises backup servers, our internal servers, and data center servers with ProLiants as they reached EOL (end-of-life).
We have not regretted that decision.
For 2010, that tradition continues.
Consequently, in our recommended list for servers, you would see only HP Servers listed. That is not a fluke.
The entire HP ProLiant server line is recommended by Logikworx.
Without equivocation.
Going forward, what we are in the process of doing now is to immerse ourselves thoroughly in everything (HP) BladeServer.
For blades are the way to go, and we shall see about getting a rack going with those babies as soon as possible.
