One of the guilty pleasures most of us enjoy nowadays is that of being amateur photographers, armed with our cellphone cameras, looking for the next doofus who would make our production the next viral hit on the Internet.
Unfortunately, most of our efforts are almost worthless, as virtually all of us do not possess the directorial capabilities of Z.Z. von Schnerk, or his post-production acumen.
For those of us who don’t, have no fear, for here comes MotionDSP with version 1.1 of their video enhancement product, vReveal.
I have been using vReveal for the past several months to clean up all of the video I have shot with both my cellphone cameras, and the camcorder function in my Nikon point-and-click camera.
vReveal is simplicity itself.
Installations of vReveal has been on systems running Windows 7 from Day 1, from the Beta 1 to the final testing on Windows 7 RTM.
vReveal installed correctly at all times. It correctly identified the systems I was running it on, and proceeded to utilize as much power as possible to bring the video enhancements to a speedy conclusion. Probably the best things about vReveal are the one-click enhancement templates built-into the software. These templates allow you to apply enhancement parameters in just one click to your videos, and sit back, waiting for the improved output.
I also used vReveal – with my point-and-click – to take several short videos of work stuff, and enhance them using this product. Everything went well.
An install at a realtor’s office for her to use in improving videos she shot before uploading to her website. She was immediately drawn to the software, and now uses it as part of her workflow. (I thinks she likes it.)
My only knock on this program is the limitation in input video size. Hopefully, that is an artificial constraint that should be removed.
MotionDSP vReveal is a very good, immediately-productive video-enhancement software. I have come to rely on it for quick enhancement of videos. It works, and just does the job.
I highly recommend it.
