Just when I started contemplating creating a Mac clone, comes this ruling in the Apple v Psystar case.
This is a bad decision.
I mean, how can the tens of people worldwide who want a Mac lay hands on a cost-efficient clone now?
How???
Furthermore, how can those investors in Psystar who were promised sales of 1.2 million (scorched earth scenario) to 12 million (crack pipe scenario) get their monies back, especially since due to a total lack of user interest slow production ramp-up, only 768 or so systems have been sold so far. Mainly to news organizations, I would think.
All that makes this judge’s decision, you know, not nice!
Just when I thought Psystar would take the place of the late unlamented SCO!
