Air Force reopens tanker competition.

356px-Seal_of_the_US_Air_Force.svg While this is a good idea in theory, the execution is quite another.

It is my considered opinion that all strategic military assets of the United States armed forces be sourced from United States companies alone!

Resultantly, this competition should have been about the Pentagon selecting a Boeing airframe, and then the Air Force throwing open the field to various military systems integrators in the US, removing Boeing's inherent (airframe builder) advantage.

Why are we letting non-US firms into this competition at the potential  detriment of American companies?
