Recommended: Optoma HD81-LV
In April of this year, my CE (consumer electronics) contact, allowed me a 60-day demo of the HD81-LV.

I was impressed.

This is a full-featured projector with a brightness rating of 2,500 lumens, automatic aspect ratio detection, and an auto iris.

I hated to send it back!

Honorable Mention: Optoma HD81   
Right after the HD81-LV went home, the lesser spec’d Optoma HD81 was sent in to us for a  long term review.

While it lacks some of the high-end features of the HD81-LV, such as the auto iris, and does not have the same number of lumens as it’s sibling, the HD81 had performed as well as we expected.
