At The Orbiting O’Odua today, I received a new HP StorageWorks Data Vault x520 for review.
Running the Windows Home Server Operating system, but optimized for business, the Data Vault x520 represents the second WHS-based device being reviewed here at the O’Odua. The other device is an Acer Aspire A340 Windows Home Server. The Aspire A340 is a home device.
None the less, I look forward to reviewing the Data Vault.
First task for the x520 Data Vault: add two hard drives, a 1.5 TB and a 1 TB SATA drives to the box come morning.
At the Orbiting O’Odua, we have 6 TB of portable hard drive space supporting approximately 12 Windows 7 clients, a Windows Small Business Server 2008, and a Windows Server 2008 R2.
This is going to be f-u-n, fun!
