Available in the Apple App Store, this free-to-download-and-install app also gives you your first 15 minutes of talk time free.
With relatives all over the world and mainly in the United Kingdom and operations in Nigeria, other parts of Africa, and in the UK, I make a lot of international calls. For me, a product like Vonage Time To Call™ would dramatically cut down on my telecommunications expenses. It would be especially useful when I am in a hotel room or on the road, where I can leverage my mobile data plan to make calls bypassing the exorbitant prices charged by mobile-telco for international calls, or for roaming.
How does it work?
Vonage Time to Call is quite easy to install and use.
To place a call, I initialized the app, selected the country I wanted to call, in this case, Nigeria, and hit the ‘Buy’ button. Call billing was taken care of by my iTunes account, and that was it. Real easy.
Please note: your iTunes account will be charged for a fixed amount for a voice call of up to 15 minutes to call the selected country.
The costs for Time To Call™ calls are the same to both mobiles and landlines. Moreover, the service is available everywhere.
NOTE: once your call is concluded, all unused minutes will be available to use for the next twelve months.
The Vonage Time To Call ™ app is a free download, and it allows for fifteen (15) minute calls to 100 countries, with costs ranging from $0.99 to $1.99. more than 90 additional countries can be called for at flat rates. Additionally, you do not have to be a Vonage subscriber to enjoy this app. Furthermore, since payments are handled through iTunes accounts, users do not have to worry about mobile-telco accounts, currency exchange and so forth
