I had met Paul before, at the StorageWorks Tech Day in Houston, where he was the star of the show, keeping us riveted as he divulged HP’s advances into the realm of the memristor.
Meeting Saar was an equal treat, talking with someone brimming with knowledge and information of where HP was going with respect to this very important part of computing, especially in the datacenter of the future – Converged Infrastructure, in HP-speak.
Subsequent to that meeting, I was invited to, and attended the HP Networking Tech Day, in Suckramiento, California, where we were given various deep dives into all things HP Networking.
After I came away from the Tech Day, as I am wont to, I decided to spend the next few weeks soaking myself in HP networking in order to answer the first question that pops into my mind whenever HP Networking is mentioned: is HP Networking ready for Prime Time?
I was not going to blog these series of posts before the middle of next month, but the announcement by HP earlier today that they are indeed on a Cisco-free diet, prompted me to speed up my posts.
